Pashupatinath: (World Heritage Site)

Pashupathinath temple listed in the world heritage sites of UNESCO located at the bank of Holy River Bagmati. The sacred temple of Pashupatinath is a big double roofed pagoda of brass and gilt gold; the entrance of the temple is coated with silver. There is linga images of Shiva along with statues, shrine and temples devoted to other deities in the temple complex. A ways of the Pashupathi area takes visitors past a sixth-century statue of Brahama the creator and several other temples. There are rows of Shiva shrines and Hindu pilgrims from all over south Asia offering worship to Shiva, the lord of Destruction. Entrance to the temple precinct is allowed to the Hindus only. Though, visitors can visibly see the temple and the activities executed in the temple premises from the vantage point across the bank of the Bagmati River.


Kathmandu Durbar Square: (World Heritage Site)

Kathmandu durbar square is one of the popular world heritage sites of Nepal, which is liked by many visitors due to its fine and artistic decoration. It consists of huge Royal place with different temples, inside as well as outside the temples dated from the 15th to the 18th century. The house of the living goddess (Kumari), the ferocious Kal Bhairav, the red monkey god and hundreds of erotic carvings are a few examples of the sights at the square. All wood carvings, Statues and architecture in these sites are exceptionally well. The Kasthamandap Temple located in the Kathmandu durbar square is believed as made of single tree is outstanding.


Changunarayan (World Heritage Site)

Tthe temple of Changunarayan is splendidly decorated with sculptures and carvings and is said to be the oldest pagoda style temple in the valley. The temple, built around the 3rd century, is adorned by some of the best samples of stone, wood and metal craft in the valley. The lord residing in this place is worshipped by the Hindus as Changunarayan and by the Buddhists as Hari Hari Hari vahana Lokeswar is Mahayana Buddhism. The courtyard has numerous other temples such as that of Kiloswar Shiva, Chhinnmasta Devi and additional figures like Garuda and diverse images of Lord Vishnu.


Swoyambhunath: (World Heritage Site)

Swoyambhunath the most glorious Buddhist Stupa is, perhaps, the best place to observe the religious harmony in Nepal. It is site previous to 2000 years old. Painted on the four sides of the spire's base are all seeing eyes of lord Buddha, keeping an eternal watch on the valley distinguishing between vice and virtue. Swoyambhunath Stupa also known as monkey temple is the most ancient in this part of the world and its worshippers are diverse from Newar nuns, Tibetan monks and Brahman priests to lay Buddhist and Hindus. Swoyambhunath is a major landmark of the valley provides an outstanding view of the Kathmandu valley.


Boudhanath : (World Heritage Site)

The gigantic and ancient Stupa, is one of the unique monuments is believed as world's biggest magnetize the Nepalese pilgrimages of Tibetan from as far as Dolpo, Solukhumbu, Tibet, Mustang, Ladhak, Dharmashala in India and Bhutan. The Stupa of 100m in diameter was constructed on an octagonal foundation inset with prayers helms by the Lichhivi king Manadev in the 5th century. The stupa is 36 meter high from the base includes the spire and the crest represents the stages of enlightenment, sign of royalty, sympathy and Nirvana. There are many myths regarding the origin of the Stupa.



Manakamana temple one of the popular Hindu goddess Bhagawati temples is sited 125 km to the west of Kathmandu. The idol of the Hindu goddess Bhagawati is placed in the temple at the peak of the hill (1302m). It is a 3 hr drive from Kathmandu on the high way to Pokhara at kurintar one can take the cable car up to the temple or can go 5 hours hiking from Abu Khairini.



Gorkha situated 131 km west of Kathmandu valley at an altitude of 1135m at the end of mountain road that separates north from Kathmandu Pokhara highway at Abu Khairini. Gorkha is the ancestral home of the Shaha Empire and home of the Gurkha Soldiers. Magnificent Gorkha palace is the magnetism of the Gorkha which offers the grand views of the snowcapped Himalayan Shangrila in the north and surrounding Valleys.



Bandipur is a hilltop pleasant town lying middle on the Kathmandu-Pokhara highway at an elevation of 1005m passing the Marshyangdi river valley is located 8 km above Dumre bazaar and inhabited are typically of Newar communities. Gorgeous Mountain views, artistic houses and visit pagoda-roofed temples can be seen from the ridge of the town. Siddha Gupha the largest cave in the nation is formed by stalactites and stalagmites.



Pokhara known as the touristic city of Nepal is situated 200km west of the capital city Kathmandu. The unique natural city offers the magnificent views of the fish tail peak (6993m) has changed Pokhara into the glory of Nature. Unique geographical landscapes like cave, terraces, falls, lake and curious gorges created by Seti River with in a small territory are the major natural attractions of the city.



Sarangkot located in the north of Pokhara city carries the historical significance. The hill point is popular for views of sun rise, outstanding views of the Pokhara city, Fewa Lake and Mountain peaks. This hill point offers amazing views of the Himalayan Sangri-la like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Fishtail in the north. Sarangkot a popular takeoff point for paragliding is nearly half an hour drive from the city.



Lumbini the birth place of Lord Buddha lies in the western Tarai of Nepal. Lord Buddha was born in 623 BC. Baisakh Purnima (full Moon Day) is being celebrated yearly which is the most important day for the Buddhists. Buddha was born, enlighten and Nirvana on the Baishakh Purnima.



Dakshinkali is one of the most significant shrines of the goddess kali and lies nearly 25km south from capital city Kathmandu. Bloody sacrificial offerings are made in the temple mostly on Saturdays and Tuesdays. The temple is positioned in a dense and cool forest which is one of the desired picnic spot. Every Saturday local people come to offer chicken and goats for blood sacrifice to the goddess kali. The picture of goddess kali is macabre, black holding a skull and a sword.



Dhulikhel Situated nearly 30 miles covered in 45 minute drive to the east of Kathmandu along the Arniko highway, is a little town of Dhulikhel. The place offers magnificent views in the northeastern part. Dhulikhel at a height of 1550m is congregation of some beautiful buildings, built in Victorian style; the four to five storied brick mansions in the town are an architectural enchantment and contain close conventional Newari settlement.


Namo Buddha:

Namo Buddha one of the blessed spot is located 3 hrs hiking distance from Dhulikhel. The white painted sputa honors the action of the Buddha Sakyammuni's self less sacrifice to feed starving tiger by offering his own flesh. This is one of the most significant pilgrimage places for Buddhists. The height of the sputa is more than 20 feet where it’s the golden tower is enclosed with meaningful holy Flags.



Nagarkot located 30 km east of Kathmandu is one of the most popular mountain resort destinations in the Kathmandu valley rims. Nagarkot is a magnificent place to spend the night and to view the sun rise across the wide Himalayan range. It is one of the best preliminary places of valley rim hike for persons who are in Nepal for short duration.
